Attention all Vancouver BC buyers. When buying a home that is less than 10 years old, go to the New Home Warranty Registry Database and search the property you are cosidering purchasing. It will provide you with the most important piece of information ---- whether the owner has a legal right to sell the property. That's right owner built homes cannot be sold with 1 year of occupancy and homes new homes must have the New Home Warranty insurance. Protect your self and do your due diligence and ask your realtor to do the same.
