If you have shaw TV and a digital cable box Shaw has made Japan TV free until March 17th as a service to allow the Japanese viewers monitor the quake and tsunami situation on local TV. The station is in Japanese but features many live shots.

You can watch with English translation:

1) Switch to channel 514

2) Press <settings> with your cable box remote

3) The Quick Menu will appear. Click the icon that looks like a house (first one)

4) In the Preview Main Menu screen scroll down till you see <Setup>

5) Press <Setup> then Press <Audio Setup>

6) Change the default audio track to Espanol

For some reason Espanol is English.

NOTE It works for some broadcasts otherwise it defaults back to Japanese
